A Time To Be Born.....
Sister Alvesta Robinson McGriff was born to the late Mr. Eddie & Mrs. Mary Brinson Robinson in Stewart County, GA on June 3, 1932.
A Time To Serve.....
Alvesta Robinson McGriff confessed Christ at an early age. She later joined Grace Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Walter Boykins Sr. Sister McGriff served as an usher and a choir member until her health declined.
A Time to Educate.....
Alvesta attended Stewart & Randolph County at Georgia Schools from grade school to high school.
A Time to Be United…..
Alvesta was united in Holy Matrimony, before God, to the late Jeff McGriff in 1963. To this Union two sons was happy to call him their own & he saw them as just that his sons. He also had a daughter who Alvesta cherished as her own; Hattie Engrams, Eddie Thomas, Llayd Ali (Khadijah)

A Time to Die…..
Alvesta departed her earthly body on September 25, 2018 at her granddaughter Shanita house in Warrensville, Hts. Ohio.
Things to Remember…..
We will always cherish her smile and laughter that will brighten up a room, and those mouthwatering tea cakes! Sister McGriff leaves behind two sons; Eddie Thomas & Hattie Engrams, two sisters Amie and Frances from Cleveland, OH., one brother Johnny Sam (Minnie) from Miami, FL., five grandkids Tony, Nicole, Shanita (Renee), Eddie and Mary. A host of great-grands, nieces, nephews and friends.
