Barrie Leon Fears was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Johnny and Doris July 19, 1952, and departed into eternal rest on March 19, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Warric and Johnny.
Barrie attended Atlanta and Cleveland Public Schools. He completed his GED in the U.S. Army. Barrie was united in holy matrimony to Sharon Mathews. Barrie accepted Christ at an early age. He served as a Deacon at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Puyallup, Washington. He also sang in the choir and taught bible study. Barrie loved all kinds of music, enjoyed dominoes, spending time with his family, and barbequing.
Barrie worked for many years in the healthcare field. In his later years he loved to cook and retired from Aramark as a cook.
Barrie leaves to mourn his loving wife Sharon, eight children: Taressa (Ron), Tommie (Pam), Barris, Cameron, Jamie, Brandie (Edward), Daisha, and B.J. Jr., two sisters, Rosie (Ron), Angela, and one brother Landrie, sister-in-laws; Yvonne (Cecil), Pat (Carl), and one brother-in-law, Mike. He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
