DEBRARINE MARIE JAMES, Beloved Mother, Daughter, Sister and Dear Friend was born on June 17, 1964 in Cleveland, Ohio through the union of Jesse and Louise James. She had 12 siblings. Debra is preceded in death by her father, Jesse James; sisters, Barbarline Young, Janis Doakes and Ellen James; brother, Jesse and Aaron James.

Debrarine graduated from Shaw High School in the vocational Steno program and continued on to Dyke College to complete an Associate of Science degree in Secretarial Science. After completing her education she used her training to work at several companies to include the American Heart Association, AT&T and most recently Express Scripts. She met co-workers where she developed many friendship and lasting relationship. They attended birthday and holiday dinners together. Debra was a dedicated and hard worker at Express Scripts. She worked tirelessly until her family moved her back to Cleveland to care for her.

Debrarine married James Nixon, in Cleveland, Ohio and of this union two sons were born. Brandon and Mathew Nixon, whom she loved dearly. Debrarine would make many trips to see her son and grandchildren in North Carolina which brought her so much joy. She was also very attentive to Mathew and making sure his needs were met. She traveled to places such as the Caribbean, Las Vegas, Florida, New York and many church conventions which she looked forward.

Debrarine accepted Christ at an early age. She attend Pentecostal Assembly, Glorious Church of God in Christ and Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Church here in Cleveland. After relocating to Columbus, Ohio she attended All Nations Church and then moved her membership to Hope City House of Prayer, where she attended for 8 years. Debrarine was on the Greeter and Cleaning Committee and there she formed many close-knit friendship where they did group outings. Debra was very fulfilled by providing a home for others and lending a hand to friends until they were able to support themselves. Although Debra was soft-spoken and reserved she was no pushover.

After a long illness on July 9, 2019 Debra’s journey ended and she went home to be with the Lord. She was surrounded by her sisters, Ruth and Lori, a dear friend Donna, her son Brandon and her niece Aleah.

Debrarine Marie James is survived by her two sons Brandon and Matthew; her mother Louise James; siblings Theresa Coleman, Lawrence James, Andrew Jackson, Robbie Addison (Alvin), Esther James, Ruth James-Dickens (David), Lori Edmondson; Grandchildren, Harmonii, Khamari, James, and Brandon Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
