Earnestine Wallace was born in Birmingham, AL and later moved to Opelika, AL. Her parents Hurie and Minnie Bandy had 11 children and she was the 7th oldest. In her early 20's she moved to Cleveland, OH where she met and married Ralph Wallace. Together they had 3 children: Ronald, Michael and Sheila. She was a devoted member of both Glenville and Southeast SDA Churches where she was very active. A Charter Member of Southeast, she also was Sabbath School Superintendent, Vacation Bible School craft teacher, Deaconess, Usher, Chancel Choir Member, and Leader of "Friendship Circle of Love" who were certified to volunteer at nursing homes, among other things. She remained perpetually busy, as an arts and craft teacher, food service and retail worker. Her many skillful hobbies included gardening, sewing, crocheting, crafts, and reading. Also spreading love and joy through her ministry to sick and shut-in, creating cards and plaques with Psalms 23 and God Is Love themes as well as fruit baskets, meals and phone calls. She loved nature walks, senior center activities, especially line dancing, and often talked about her grandchildren to friends. She was a stylish dresser, was very independent and was often seen driving around town. She loved people and her favorite was phrase "kill them with kindness".
She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Ronald and Michael. She leaves to mourn her daughter Sheila Siklo, two brothers Charles Bandy and Raymond (Irene) Bandy, Grandchildren: Alissa Wallace, Wollor Siklo, Virgil (Aisha) Wallace, Michael (Vicky) Wallace, Brandon Wallace, Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and special friends.
