Elizabeth Dawn Bates

Elizabeth Dawn Bates affectionately known as  ̈Betsy ̈ was born on November 1, 1950 to Fletcher and Alice Tyree who preceded her in death. Betsy is also the sister of Thomas (Scootie) and Wanda (Wendy) Tyree, who also preceded her in death. Elizabeth (Betsy) Bates entered into Heavenly Rest on Sunday, July 28th, 2019. She was 68 years old. 

Betsy received her formal education from John F. Kennedy High School. She then went on to work at Orlando’s Baking Company for 39 years until she retired in 2015. Betsy accepted Christ and joined Warrensville Rd. Community Baptist Church in 2016. 

Betsy was a loving and caring person. She ALWAYS made sure that everyone was okay without considering herself. The word  ̈No ̈ was NEVER an option. She was an extremly hard worker, and loving friend. Betsy loved her dog Dexter, playing Pokeno with her family, drinking Pepsi, and going to the Racino. 

Betsy leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Cheryl (CheTerra and Cheron,) Wanda (Ernest, Byron, Bri’onne,) Alisha (Jayson and Dexter,) and her Bonus daughter Ligeia (Demetrius, Kiara, and Kaleb.) She also leaves her great grandchildren Sahana, Demi, and Khari to cherish her memory. Fond memories of Betsy are also cherished by her best friend Rose Turner, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.
