Frederick Knight was born on February 4, 1936.  He was the oldest of three children born to Mace and Mary Knight (deceased) of Cleveland, Ohio. His brother Jimmie Knight has also preceded him in death.

Fred graduated from East Technical High School in Cleveland, Ohio.  He entered the United States Army in July,1954, and served as a Heavy Weapons Infantryman until he was honorably discharged in June,1962. During his service Fred earned the National Defense Service Medal, and Parachutist Badge. After his military service,  Fred attended Cuyahoga County Community College. He was a certified Welder. Fred was initially employed by the Regional Transit Authority as a bus driver. Later he became a driver trainer and then as a zone supervisor. He retired from RTA after 35 years of service and worked part time for 5 years at University Hospitals.

Frederick entered holy matrimony with Creacia Wilson on July 7, 2001. They enjoyed traveling together all through the United States. Fred and Creacia traveled to Panama City, Florida every year, and became annual “snowbirds”.

While traveling in Jeruselum, Fred was baptized in the Jordan River along with his wife, and Christians from around the world. It was then that Fred dedicated his life to God and decided to pursue biblical study and discipleship. He successfully completed the bible seminar presented by Elder Michael Tate. Fred was baptized by Pastor Collin Parkerson at the Temple of Praise 7th Day Adventist Church, where he became a member in 2013.  John 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Fred was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed taking his boat on Lake Erie. He and his partners travel to Pennsylvania, Wyoming, Canada, Alabama, and Florida to camp out together to go big game hunting.
