Joyce V. Ausbrook

Life's Journey

Joyce Ausbrook was born on February 8,1928 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Ernest and Lillian Harper. She began her education in the Cleveland Public School system, and later graduated from Cosmetology school with honors. She married the late Chuck Guy, her high school sweetheart, in 1943 and from this union one child was born, Ronald. Joyce pursued a career as a Cosmetologist and after a few years she relocated to Columbus,Ohio, where she worked alongside her older sister Gloria. After a few successful years, Joyce moved back to Cleveland where she married childhood friend, Alton Ausbrook. To this union two children were born Kahlil and Sharin.
 

Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of anyone that knew her. Known for her contagious smile and entertaining sense of humor, Joyce could brighten up a room. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter, and joking around, will never be forgotten. She loved her family especially her grandchildren whom she cared for and introduced her love of God. Joyce had a strong passion for music. Her hobbies included gardening, sewing, tennis and taking walks around the neighborhood.

Joyce was preceded in death by her sisters Doris Jean Harper, Gloria Carter, and Jewel Harper. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons Ronald Guy, Kahlil Ausbrook, and a loving daughter Sharin Ausbrook. She is also survived by her grandchildren Rhonda, Judina, Brianna, Kenston and niece Gloria along with a host of other relatives and friends.
