Treasured Memories
Judy Sanders age 64, born in Crawfordsville, Arkansas passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019. Beloved mother of Cliffton E. Simpson, she entered holy matrimony with Kenneth Simpson in 1980. Judy was born to the Union of John W. Sanders, Sr. and Drucilla Sanders, who both preceded her in death. Judy accepted Christ into her life at an early age. She received her diploma from East High School in the year 1973. Judy also graduated from Dyke College on June 20, 1991 with her bachelor’s degree in Real Estate. Judy was a firm believer in education. At the time of her passing, Judy was pursuing her Masters’ Degree in Theology.
Judy was a hard-working individual and held various positions such as barmaid, construction worker, case worker for HEAP, and finally as a in-home health care specialist, where she finished her working career. Judy was a comedienne at one time with the stage name “Italy Chavette”. She won a comedy competition and was selected to go on the road but decided to stay in Cleveland and build her family. She had many favorite sayings such as; give it your “hunnid”, “ugly self”, and “told it”. Judy was a kind, friendly, and loving individual, who opened her doors to all friends and family whenever they needed. Judy loved children, food, dancing and all kinds of music. She was a fresh dresser, loved to shine, loved her make-up. It wouldn’t be Judy if she didn’t have makeup intact and her plum lipstick.
Judy is survived by her son, Cliffton Simpson; sisters Linda Arnett and Margaret Sanders; brother Terrance Sanders (Cassandra); aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, god-children, cousins and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Kenneth Sanders (Denise) and John “Brother” Sanders Jr. (Henrietta) who resided in Atlanta, GA.
