Linda Ann Jones was born December 26, 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio to Mable Smith (Jones) and the late Jesse Black. She was educated through Cleveland Public Schools where she graduated from John Hay High School. Also known as “Lynn”, she enjoyed her old school jams, all things fashion, beauty, makeup, reality TV and anything with polka dots. She was guaranteed to make you smile with her infectious laugh, loud talking and many many jokes. Linda confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at Assembly Missionary Baptist Church by the late Rev. Willie Judie.
A tiny giant, who was as strong as she was loving, Linda made a lasting impression on all those whom she encountered. Spending time with her children, family and friends, cooking meals, singing and cleaning to her favorite “Good Music” or curling up on the couch with a good book are just a few things that brought her the most joy in this life.
Linda gained her rightfully earned wings on the evening of October 28, 2018. Her memory lives on through her mother, Mable Smith; her brothers Emery and Larry Black; her sons, Shannon Branch and Brandon Jones; her baby girl, Jaime Jones and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and close friends. Her spirit will be missed.
