Lueteen Ollison was born on June 20, 1924 to the union of Henery Pat Smith and Ollie Lee Smith. Lueteen received her education in Louisiana and accepted Christ at an early age at New Born Baptist Church on September 18, 1943.
She later joined holy matrimony to George Ollison and conceived 6 beautiful children. Lueteen and George moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1953 and Lueteen later joined the Christian Valley Baptist Church where she became the first mother of the church and continued to go to church until her health failed. She said, “ I’ve been going all my life, he just retired me.” Lueteen was an homemaker, who loved to bake, cook, sew, garden and “Oh Yes”. Quilts! You never needed a blanket because there was always a quilt.
Lueteen was preceeded in death by her two children: George Ollison Jr., and Jo Franklin. Four Step Brothers: Louise Lee, Cortez Smith, Elmer Smith and John Henery Smith. Three Step Sisters: Mary Ella Love, Eva Hawkins, and Lizzie Smith Williams. Two Grandchildren: Yvonne(Bonnie) and Lawrence (Lary) Kwam.
Lueteen leaves to cherish her loving memory, her children, all of Ohio: June Ollison, Eva Ollison, Darsel Ollison, Martha Ann Douglas (Earl). She leaves her brother; Eugene Smith of Junction City, Louisiana. Four Step Brothers: Louise Lee, Cortez Smith, Elmer Smith and John Henery Smith. Three Step Sisters: Mary Ella Love, Eva Hawkins, and Lizzie Smith Williams. 10 Grandchildren: Earline (Lena), Kathleen (Kat), Sonda, Romeah, Stacy, Justin, Dajohn Sean, Montinique (Monti,. 11 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great -Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
