Mary Lauderdale Obituary

Mary Earlean Thompson Lauderdale --- HONEY
Today to celebrate a heavenly gain as we collectively remember the life of Mary E Lauderdale whom we all affectionately called "Honey."  She carried the demeanor of her father and the giving spirit of her mother.
Looking back over 27,594 days of a Blessed life (May 7, 1944 - December 11, 2019), she will forever remain in the corridors of our hearts. The Word of  God is clear "no man knows the day or hour," however, we find consolation in knowing we never lose those we give back to God.
Mary was born in Greenwood, MS, the firstborn child to the union of the late Stephen and Mary (Hudson) Thompson.  She was joined holy matrimony to the late John Lauderdale.   She worked various positions with the USPS, Driveline Retail and St Ives prior to launching her own business JoMares LLC.  She subsequently became a licensed Foster Parent working with Bellefaire JCB bringing a sense of stability to at risk youth.
During her formative years she received her Christian foundation at the now historic St John AME Church.  She was a faithful member of God's Will Church of the Apostolic Faith under the tutelage of Pastor James Lukes, where she served on the Mothers and Missionary Board.
To treasure her memory, she leaves her Life Legacy of Love, Inspiration and Spirit of Servant Kindness to her three children; Stephanie Thompson, William (Meesha) Thompson, Derrell (Francine) Thompson; six grandchildren, Alonzo James Tate, SheRise Smith, Laura Smith, Natalia (Michael) Dukes, Derrell (Kenyatta) Green, Telina Thompson.  One brother, Kirby D Thompson, Phoenix AZ, three sisters, Laura J (Aaron) Marshall, Darien IL, Renee Smith, and Michelle Thompson, Cave Creek AZ.  One Uncle, Will (Christine) Hudson; several great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
