I'm devastated and don't really know where to start. I and my family grew up under the pastorage of Rev. Ralph Hughley. I was sharing recently with his daughter and her mother, (my friends/ family forever) that even when my family moved from Akron to California, we always said that pastor and his wife would ALWAYS be our pastor and 1st lady no matter where we attended church. My mother the late great Mary Spencer Henry always said, being the secretary for mount Calvary, Rev. Hughley and 1st lady was the best job God ever blessed her with. Rev Hughley was a TRUE MAN OF GOD and when you became a member of his flock, you became a member of his/ their family. He was there for or family during many trying times and losses and I and my family will be forever grateful. Though this Loss hits hard for us, I know what you, his family are walking in during this season. Know that we love you and are here for you however you need us to be. Rev. Hughley, you will be forever loved, forever admired, forever missed and FOREVER MY PASTOR!! Sending love, blessings and sincere condolences to the family and those like us who know and will forever love you😢💔🙏🏽Rest in paradise pastor

I remember when we moved up in Longwood this big church was on the corner of 38th, every Sunday we walked up the street to Triedstone Baptist, never did put all our money in church cause we had to go to Mr. Reynolds store or Ernestine's to get some junk 😂After church. Those were the good old days and Rev. Hughley was the greatest of all Pastors. RIH King, you are another beautiful Angel marching in God's Army. You have earned your wings. 🙏🏿

God blessed many with his presence. Watching men like Ralph during his youth as he went to school and later off to college impacted a lot of of us while growing up on 43rd. He was one role model we all were able to share, that family member going away to school and becoming a man of God in the neighborhood where he lived. His grandma Ms. Isby held him close to her heart when he lost his mother. They both instilled powerful family values which paid off long after they passed, always caring for others regardless of the situation. Ralph was that way. Condolences! Rest in Power, my brother!
