Simmie Barry Obituary

(80) Passed away on Tuesday October 2, 2018. Preceded into death by his wife Lucy J. Barry. Loving father of Stephanie Kay, Tracy and LaKisha, and grandfather of Kennedy Barry- Brown. He was a proud, loving and wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and dear friend. An avid fisherman. Simmie was a longtime retiree of the General Motors Corp where he labored for 32 years. He served as a Deacon and Chairman of the Trustee Board at his church. Simmie will be missed, but his humorous stories his honest opinion and kind generous spirit will be remembered in the hearts of those who loved him. Funeral Services will be held Friday October 12, 2018 at Union Grove Baptist Church 8932 Quincy Ave Wake 10:00 AM Services 10:30 AM. Interment Cleveland Memorial Gardens.
