Toi L. Ross

Obituary

Toi Ross was born July 9, 1969 in Kansas City, Kansas to the union of Shirley and the late Waymon Ross.

Toi & her family later moved to Cleveland, Ohio. She received Christ and was baptized at the age of seven at New Fellowship Baptist church under the leadership of Rev. A. L. Mayes. She later became a Charter member of St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of John C. Miley, where she served on the Usher Board.

Toi graduated from Warrensville Heights High School in 1987 and went on to college earning her bachelor’s degree from Dyke College. She worked in many different fields and enjoyed each one in a different way.

She was currently employed at Radio One.

Toi loved the Lord and her family and enjoyed spending time sitting and talking to her mom, sister, nieces and her only daughter. Whether she was giving advice or making everyone laugh, she was always only one phone call away. Her grandchildren were her world and her relationship with them was priceless.

Toi was called home to be with the Lord on May 5, 2019, and her work on earth was complete.

She was preceded in death by her father Waymon Ross.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving mother Shirley Smith, her only daughter TaJiana Ross, two granddaughters Trinity and Chloe, her sister DeAngela Ross-Fleming (Brian), two nieces I’esha Ross-Rawls (Antonio) and Aerial, her great niece Amiyah, three great nephews Amare, Keyon and Amir, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
