Alice Faye was born and raised in Cleveland’s well know Miles Heights area. Alice Faye was born December 4, 1942 to Alice Hamilton and Buford Cornelison. She would later meet the love of her life whom she cherish deeply, Joe Hampton. Out of this blessed union came four children Eric (Keisha), Damien, Dorian, Treleen (Delaneo). In 1990 Alice gave her life to Christ and joined Evangelistic Christian Ministries now known as Perfecting Ministries under the leadership of Bishops Gregory and Joyce Dorsey. She later transitioned her church membership to Omega Baptist Church under the covering of her dear friend and former colleague Reverend Dr. Dolley Finney who co-pastors with her father Bishop Benjamin Finney-Founder. Alice Faye‘s pride and joy were her 11 grandchildren-Deresse, Joseph, Christopher II, Erica, Alann (Shanautica),Talia, Daria, Dorian Jr., Faith, Blare and Zoe along with her 12 great grandchildren-Anaisjia, Kamora,Dareese, Desirae, Grayson, Melanie, Makai, Chase, Gianna, Elliana, Ariah, and Allura. Alice was a faithful employee for over 30 years with the Shaker Heights City School District. Alice worked at several of the schools in the district over the course of her career such as Moreland, Boulevard, Onaway, Lomond, Mercer and Fernway. Her final experience with the district before retirement was being apart of the Kindergarten Resource Program where she loved on her students and treated them like her own children. Alice Faye leaves to cherish her memory; her children, her daughter in law Keisha whom she adored, her son-in-law Delaneo which she affectionately called Orlando (which is not his name), a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grand and great grandchildren, her two beloved surviving sisters-Joan Smith & Elaine Cornelison, (her cherished older sister Cynthia as well as her beloved brothers Ike, Jake, and Washington which proceeded her in death).
