Anthony Grant, also known as “Tony”, or “Grant” to most, was born on October 26, 1961 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late George Videll and Catherine Grant. Anthony was the second oldest of three children.
Anthony was also preceded in death by his sister Yolanda Grant.
He attended John F. Kennedy High School in the Cleveland Public Schools System. Anthony was also known as the cool kid, the fly guy, the best dressed, and not to mention a lady’s man.
Anthony confessed his life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Union Grove Baptist Church at the age of 12.
At age 22, Anthony met Yolanda Wright and took on the role of father to Yolanda’s children Siobahn and Monte Wright. In 1986, Anthony and Yolanda joined each other in holy matrimony. To that union two children were born, Ariana and Camille Grant.
Anthony and Yolanda ended their marriage after 19 years but remained good friends and great co-parents to their children.
Later in life Anthony met Brenda Holloway, and enjoyed his life with her until his last days.
Anthony was the life of the party and always wanted to have a good time. One of his favorite sayings was, “Let’s have a good time and be happy.” He also loved to cook and was the best cook of all time! His favorite pastimes were spending time with his family and childhood friends.
