Barbara Tucker Obituary

Barbara Tucker, a spirited and loving soul, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2024, in Cleveland, Ohio, at the age of 79. Born in Beaufort, North Carolina, on August 20, 1944, Barbara's faith-filled life was a testament to her strength and kindness.Growing up in the warmth of a large family, Barbara was the cherished daughter of the late Molly Elizabeth Fallin and Joe James. She was a supportive and caring sister to Adolphus Jones, Milton Brown, Emple Brown,  Frances George, Vonnie Gardner, and the late Eva Pettiway & Denise Smith. Her life was further enriched by her children, Jerome Brown (Carol), Darian Tucker (Cyndi), and Cerisse Tucker (Gary), who brought immense joy and purpose into her world.

Barbara's legacy extends through her adored grandchildren, Sarah Schoche (Marcel), David Tucker (Sarah), Joey Tucker, and her playful great-granddaughter, Hailey Schoche. Each of them carries forward her spirit and love, creating ripples of her influence into the future.

Professionally, Barbara dedicated many years as an insurance agent, where she was known for her integrity and commitment to serving others. Her nurturing nature also led her to become a caregiver, a role in which she provided comfort and companionship to those in need. Her colleagues and those she cared for will remember her as a beacon of support and assurance.

Barbara's interests painted the picture of a woman who cherished the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed taking long walks, where she often reflected on the beauty of the world around her. She delighted in trying new recipes that brought her family and friends together, filling her home with laughter. Interior design was another of Barbara's passions. She had an eye for beauty and a knack for transforming any space into a warm and inviting sanctuary. Her sense of style and attention to detail were unmatched, and her home was a reflection of her elegant taste.

In describing Barbara, one would say she was the embodiment of a quote by Maya Angelou "My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style." Barbara succeeded by every measure, touching lives with her warmth and enriching the world with her presence.

Barbara Tucker's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, faith, and joy. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire her family and friends, and her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. As we bid farewell to Barbara, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the extraordinary life she led. Her legacy of love and faith will remain as a beacon of light for generations to come.
