Born on August 2, 1964, Cordell grew up in Warrensville Heights, Ohio, where he graduated from Warrensville Heights High School. While there, he excelled as a proud lettered athlete in both football and track, showcasing his athleticism and determination. Cordell continued his education and athletic pursuits at Thiel College, where he matriculated for a time, creating memories that stayed with him throughout his life. A natural entrepreneur, Cordell’s career took him across the United States, where he embraced new opportunities, met people from all walks of life, and left a lasting impression with his charisma and drive.
He was a dedicated and hard-working man who had a passion for the finer things in life, especially stylish clothes, cars, and the thrill of sports. His vibrant personality, sense of humor, and generous heart endeared him to all who knew him. Cordell was baptized at Friendship Baptist Church as a young boy, an early milestone in his spiritual journey. Later in life, he reaffirmed his faith at Mega Church, a reflection of his enduring connection to his beliefs.
Cordell is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Queen Landrum, and Carl Landrum; his brother, Alphonso Landrum; and his nephew, Alfon Landrum.
He leaves to cherish his memory his two children, Charles Muhammad and Rasheedah Landrum, his brother, Hillard Landrum, and sister-in-law, Cecelia, along with their children, Tanisha, Kevin, and Tiffany Landrum. He is also survived by his devoted life partner, Frances Byrd, and her loving family: Ayeshia and her daughter, Ariah; Eric and his sons, Reign and Ezra; and Eligah, all of whom became like family to him. Cordell’s legacy of love and kindness lives on through a host of extended family members, cherished friends, and the supportive community of Dr. Bob’s fellowship.
