She met the love of her life, Burnell Sims. They were married on March 19, 1977, which was also Burnell’s birthday.(He preceded her in death) They were married for forty-six years.
Connie loved to bowl and was a member of The Interstate Bowling and Bid Whist Association until she became ill. She loved to travel, dance, play bid whist and talk smack. She also loved her Fire Ball!
She joined Grace Missionary Baptist Church with her husband, Burnell. She was a member of the Usher Board until Burnell became ill.
