Dionta Hill Obituary

Dionta D. Hill was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 21, 1982 to Angela “Angie” Hill and Albert Flynn. Dionta was the oldest of three boys.

As a child, Dionta was always surrounded by his cousins and close friends. He always had a smile on his face. During his youth, he enjoyed going to Mr. Jim’s store with his grandfather and cousins as well as actively participating in boys scouts.

Dionta attended and obtained his high school diploma in 2000 from John F. Kennedy High School, located in Cleveland, Ohio. While attending, he was a member of the Eagles Football Team and well known around the school as “Big Hill.”

A brother to two, a father to one, a best friend to a few, a loving cousin to a handful, and a friend to many, Dionta’s personality was one everyone loved. Hill was an excellent father to his only son Darion. Every aspect of Dionta’s adulthood centered around making sure his son had the best life he could give him. As the big brother, Dionta provided a respectable example to his younger brothers, Carlos and Jabril, on how to be a man. As a cousin, the bonds he formed with each of them was unique. As a friend, he was always supportive and a listening ear to those who needed him.

When describing Dionta, there is no way you can omit that he was the “sweetest big guy” with the infectious smile. If you ever needed a pick-me-up, you knew you could come to him to get a laugh. His great sense of humor could change the mood of even the hardest person.

Lastly, two activities that were dear to him were Cleveland sports and dancing. Dionta was an avid Cleveland sports fan. You could find his commentary on any Cleveland sports team streaming through his Facebook statuses regularly. Beyond sports, Dionta showed his footwork on the dance floor. It was very common to see him at parties and gatherings two-stepping or putting his spin on the hottest line dances.

Dionta entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 10, 2018. He was preceded in death by his (grandfather) Elijah Hill- Kareem. He is survived by his son Darion, mother Angie Hill, brothers Carlos and Jabril Hill, grandmother Billie Hill-Kareem, uncle Elijah J. Hill, III (Gail), aunt Deborah “Debbie” Carlisle, a host of cousins, other family members and friends.
