Douglas LaRoy Dabney was born Thursday Oct. 24, 1963 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the third child born to Barbara J. and Dennis Dabney Sr. Both parents preceded him in death.

Known as Dougie Fresh to many friends and neighbors he accepted Christ at an early age.

He was a John Adams Rebel and graduated in 1983.

Throughout his life’s journey Dougie became a jack of all trades and a master of many.

Dougie’s parents and siblings took great pleasure in spoiling him. He was loved by all. He was a very caring person and looking out for others was a priority of his. He loved people.

Dougie would delight himself with a cold beer. He loved to sing and dance and was truly a casino buff. He loved life and lived everyday as if it were his last. After a short battle with cancer on Thursday March 25, 2021 God called Dougie’s name and he answered the call.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one son; Duane Green, one sister; Carolyn Dabney, two brothers; Dennis Dabney Jr. and Terrance Dabney a favorite cousin and a host or other relatives and friends.
