Edward " Jack" Pool

On September 18th, 2025 Edward “Jack” Pool heard the voice of the Lord and answered the call. Jack was born to the late Hudson and Ozzie Poole. Jack attended Hale County High School in Alabama and after graduating he relocated to Cleveland, Ohio. In 1968 he began working at Ohio Glass and Vinyl Company for several years, after that he decided to change gears and enter the autobody industry and began painting cars and autobody work for the duration of his life until his health limited his ability in 2017.

In 1983 he met Joyce Williford and later in 1995 the two were united in holy matrimony and stayed together until his untimely passing. Jack had a long list of hobbies and interests such as: bowling, shooting pool, playing the guitar and organ. He would often go to Woodhill Park to play volleyball. He would love having his friends and family over the house on Sundays. Jack also loved a good “Cabaret Party”.

Jack joined Zion Chapel Missionary Baptist Church on July 1, 2012 on Christian Experience. Once getting settled, he decided to join the Male Chorus Choir. Jack was such a soft-spoken man, “He said what he said, and meant what he said”. One of Jack’s most memorable lines were “I am only going to tell you one time.” Jack had such an impact on so many lives being in the auto business and the bowling alley. There is so much that could be told but its just not enough time to say it all.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Hudson and Ozzie Poole.

Jack leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Joyce. His 7 children: Brenda Knox (Alabama), Crystal, Macio, and Kelvin all of Ohio, Michael (Mel), Nicole, Shaneka (Richard). His siblings: Hudson (Linda) Poole (Alabama), Etter Benson (Ohio), Odell Picot (New York), Alma (Glenn) Smith (Ohio).
