In Loving Memory of Eileen Carlton-Wilson March 22, 1949 – December 13, 2025 Eileen Carlton-Wilson, age 76, peacefully departed this life on December 13, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and family devotion. Born on March 22, 1949, to the late Wilbert and Eula Mae Carlton, Eileen was the fourteenth child in a remarkable family of eighteen children. She was preceded in death by her loving parents and ten of her siblings, who welcomed her home to glory. In her early years, Eileen was an avid athlete who excelled in track and softball, earning recognition as a three-time state champion. Her love for sports, especially baseball, remained with her throughout her life. Eileen dedicated many years of service as a cook at Beach Haven Nursing Home, where she touched countless lives with her warmth and care. In her leisure time, she enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, creating cherished memories filled with laughter and love. Eileen's greatest joy was her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted life partner of thirty-one years, Jerome Shannon; three beloved sons: Tamaron E. Smith, Terrence E. Maddox Sr., and Gordon Maddox Jr. Her love lives on through ten adoring grandchildren: Tashelle, Skyera, Terrence Jr., LaShawnda, Santino, Eliana, and Aminah. She is also survived by seven loving brothers and sisters, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whose lives she touched with her warmth and kindness. Eileen's life was a testament to the power of family bonds and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved. Rest in eternal peace, dear Eileen. Your love remains with us always.
