Henry Lee Torrence Jr. was born on February 12th 1949 in Cleveland, Ohio to Henry Torrence and Robbie Torrence (nee Jackson).
He was preceded in death by both parents, sister Josie Conner and son Marc Torrence.
He departed this on Sunday June 6th 2021 at Bedford Memorial Hospital.
He attended Cleveland Public Schools and worked as a transport driver, and supervisor of landscaping in the Cleveland area, he also was a tour bus driver, and later worked at Thistledown Race Track. He retired due to illness.
He was united in holy matrimony to Dennise Davis. To this union was born Marc Torrence and Stacy Torrence Cole.
He a very kind- hearted person and would help anyone in need. He was affectionally known as ‘Man’ or ‘Hank’ to family and friends.
He loved to laugh and reminisce with family and friends. Whenever you were with him you would never leave without laughing.
One of his proudest moments was to be baptized at Holy Grove Missionary Baptist Church by Pastor Ian Cox. He joined and was a faithful member until his passing.
He leaves to cherish his memory: A loving daughter, Stacy Torrence -Cole , granddaughter Reese, and a son Eric Jacobs and his daughter. Devoted sisters Annie Holloway and Dolores Torrence. A loving brother Simpson Lamar Hanna. A very caring and loving aunt, Rose Pollard. A special and loving cousin, Doris Organ An adoring step-mother, Lillie M. Torrence. A cherished godsister, Janice Millhouse (Will). A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, who loved him dearly, and his Holy Grove MBC Family.
