Her story began with the love of Lloyd and Lula Wingfield. From this union came our star Idell, born in Lincolnton, Georgia on February 2, 1948. “Dell” as her family and friends affectionately called her was educated in the Cleveland Public Schools System. At an early age she confessed her love of Christ.
In 1995, she married the love of her life Otis P. Farley. The couple welcomed three children, Leonard, Sandra and April. Her children did a beautiful thing by giving her fourteen grandchildren, LaTisha, Kateriyan, Ashley, Angelaque, Christina, Wardale, Jordan, Dominique, Monique, Phyllis, Aliyah, India, Brooklyn and 19 great-grandchildren.
Dell worked as a Machinist for the Superior Die Cast Company until she retired. Whenever she walked in a room she turned heads with her legendary fashion designs. As we all know she was cold with a pair of scissors and jeans. She enjoyed doing puzzles, playing dominoes, going to the casino and spending time with her babies. But one of her favorite hobbies was watching basketball, she never missed a game.
Idell leaves to cherish and celebrate the memory of her time here on Earth, her children, grandchildren and six siblings; Daisy, George, Lillie, Sandra (Jerry), Betty, Brady (Alvia), in-laws, Brenda, JoAnne, Carlton as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Dell is welcomed in heaven by her parents, husband, grandson Ernest and siblings Charles, Cleveland, Phillip, Evelyn and Curtis. Dell enjoyed life and brought joy to others.
