Jacqueline Whitaker was born July 17, 1954 in Cleveland, Ohio to the union of the late Mary Rose Howard and LeRoy Whitaker.
Jacqueline was called home January 12, 2022, at the age of 67 after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She will be greatly missed for her unique sense of humor, creativity, and concern for others. Jacqueline was the youngest of 3 children.
Jacqueline spent all of her life in Cleveland, Ohio. she was a dedicated US postal worker for over 30 years and she was a blessing to everyone she met. She attended and graduated from John F Kennedy High School. After high school she went on to a career with the US Postal office in Bulk Mail. She spent the best days of her career greeting friendly faces at the Main Campus postal office downtown on Orange.
Later in life, Jacqueline was most passionate about the creativity that came with creating cakes. She had her home bakery selling delicious desserts and creative cakes. She will be remembered greatly for the unconditional love she gave her family and friends. Throughout her life she enjoyed baking, sci-fi movies and decorating her home with BomBay furniture. 2010 Jacqueline proudly retired from the US Postal Service to spend time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mary Rose Whitaker and LeRoy Whitaker, along with her sister Carol Leigh Whitaker. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with along with those she reached but never met.
To remember Jacqueline fondly will be her daughter Jacquelene Turner; one grandson Devan Dinkins; one brother Leroy Whitaker; one nephew LeRoy Whitaker Jr, her special companion Darnell Riggins and a host of loving family, co-workers and friends.
