James T. Stiner was born on January 27, 1941 in Fort Deposit, Alabama to the late Mr. Frank Herman Stiner and Rosie Mae Poole-Stiner.
He surrendered his life to the lord on March 7, 2023 at Marymount Hospital in Garfield Heights, Ohio.
“JT” as he was called by most people accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age. He attended and joined Macedonia Baptist Church of Fort Deposit, Alabama (Loundes County, AL). Soon after relocating to Cleveland, Ohio he joined The Gathering of Christ Church in Cleveland.
After his graduation from Greenville Training High School, he moved to Cleveland, Ohio with his brother and sister-in law. After living in Cleveland for four years, he joined Olivet Institutional Baptist Church. Later in life he met Alice F. Cheatham and the two were married on October 16, 1965, to this union two sons were born Marcus M. and Kevin K. Stiner.
JT was preceded in death by his brothers; Robert E. and Calvin L. Stiner.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Alice F. Stiner. His sons: Marcus M. and Kevin K. Stiner. Three Grandchildren: Xavier Jackson Stiner (Birmingham, Alabama), Marques Kevonne Stiner and Kevin Cortez D. Stiner (Deceased) of Cleveland, Ohio. His sisters: Dorothy (Jessie, Deceased) Winston, Joyce (Willie) Davidson, Ester C. (Bill) Makupson, Neva R. (Willie, Deceased) Clay, all of Cleveland, Ohio and Juluette Taylor (Deceased) of Fort Deposit, Alabama. His brothers: Frank (Esther) Stiner of Cleveland, Ohio and Lee Earnest (Minnie) Stiner of Fort Deposit, Alabama. Sisters in law; Ruth (Wife of Robert) and JoAnn (Wife of Calvin).
