James "Danny" Filey Jr.

James D. Filey, Jr. was known to family and close friends as “Danny”.  He passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026.

He is survived by his children, Kenneth Filey ( Queenie), Alfonzo Fair ( Tina), Jerome Filey, and Danielle Filey. He is preceded in death by his wife Marilyn Filey and his son Linnard Filey.

Public Viewing will be held Friday March 6, 2026 5PM-7PM at Gaines Funeral Home 5386 Lee Road Maple Heights, OH 44137 where a Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday March 7, 2026, Wake 10:00AM Funeral 10:30AM. Interment: Hillcrest Memorial Park (Bedford Heights, OH).
