Janice L. Cason

Janice Lamur Cason was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 16th, 1962 to Mary Thomas and Joe Zimmerman who both preceded her in death.

She was the fifth child of six including three girls and three boys. Leroy, Latrice, Leo (all preceded her in death), Anita, and Edward (Sharon).  Two Step sisters Janice Willis and Annie Ruth Whom Both preceded her in death. One God sister Lisa Matthews and one family adopted brother, Harvell Armstrong.

Janice attended the Cleveland Public School system and She Achieved her security certification from Drake Academy. Janice was a proficient Domestic Engineer for over 40yrs and accepted Christ at a young age. She united in Marriage with Jeffrey Madison Sr. in 1988; whom preceded her in death

Growing up, Janice gained many friendships with classmates. She enjoyed spending time with them all. Her friends who became more like sisters would spend the holidays together and raise their children like family. They supported each other through motherhood, when one didn’t have the next did. They shopped, listen to music, and created an endless bond. Janice loved the holidays. Whether she visited with friends or entertained others she spent every holidays with family and friends. Janice had a passion for cooking. She was always looking for a new recipe for her big family to appreciate. She enjoyed her grandchildren coming over and having a house full. She also had a compassion for providing assistance to anyone in need within the community especially the single mothers and youth. She made everyone comfortable and there was never a dull moment at her home.

She was a proud mother who leaves to cherish her memories.  13 children known as the “The Cason Kids”.

Sr (Kamore, Jaylia, and Antonio Jr.) Chelsea Madison (Cor’dai and Carli), Tywon Cason (Tylia, Tyla, and Tylin), Ebony Henderson((Curtis) Amira, Mari, and MaKinzie), Jeffrey Madison Jr., Damone Madison (Da’mani) and Deonte Cason(Halo). Donna Smith(RaJeen), Mr. Christopher Perry and Natasha Perry(Brooke).

Janice also left behind her lifelong friend and companion Willie Brooks, her loving God Children; Juwan Simpson, Jovan Ray, Terry Matthews, and Simone Jackson. a Host of Nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
