Kenneth D. Morton, known affectionately as Kenny to his loved ones, passed away on February 17, 2025, in Corona, California. Born on April 4, 1957, in Cleveland, Ohio, Kenny's life journey was one of warmth, compassion, and a deep commitment to his family and community.
Kenny was the cherished son of the late Charlene and Moses Morton and was also preceded in death by his brothers Moses Jr. and Thomas. His legacy lives on through his loving daughters, Takita Jackson, Aramis Lewis, and Kashmire Moore, as well as his adoring grandchildren, Keshaunna, Markita, Ziah, Josiah, Trent, Kingston and his great-grandson, Noah. One step sister Robyn King, a very close niece Michelle and a very special aunt, Delores Walton, also survive him, along with a host of relatives and friends who were touched by his outgoing spirit.
Kenny attend The Cleveland Public Schools, where he received his education. Throughout his life, Kenny carried with him the values he learned in his youth: respect, hard work, and the importance of community.
As an adult, Kenny dedicated himself to serving others, a commitment that was evident in his work with Immanuel House Supportive Services. His role in transforming lives from the hurts of humanity was more than a job; it was a calling. Through his work, Kenny became a beacon of hope for many, embodying the organization's mission with every person he helped.
Beyond his professional life, Kenny was a man who loved watching Sports, cheering on his Cleveland teams! He loved dancing, attending cookouts and just simply having a good time with family and friends. His laughter was infectious, and his presence at family gatherings was a source of joy and comfort. Kenny's interests extended to the simple pleasures in life, such as sharing stories, enjoying a good meal, and spending time with those he loved.
As we say goodbye to Kenneth D. Morton, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and love. Though his time on this earth has ended, the memories he created and the lives he touched will continue to resonate for generations to come. Kenny's spirit will forever be a guiding light for his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
