LaRita D. Blackmon

LaRita Denise Blackmon, of Garfield Heights, Ohio, known to her family as “Niecy” passed away on March 7, 2020, at Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital at the age of age 61,

LaRita Denise Blackmon was the seventh child born to Samuel West and Juanita Barbara Lamar Baynes.

Larita Denise was born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 11, 1958 as LaRita Denise Baynes.

She graduated from John Adams High School.

She married Moses E Jones III on June 28, 1979

Though their relationship turned out to be less permanent than either of them expected, both went on to remarry, and raise and exceptional child Mosha Denise Jones. LaRita remarried Anthony Blackmon

October 16, 1999.

LaRita retired on October 25, 2019 from City of Cleveland Water Department as a Principle Clerk.

LaRita will be forever remembered by her daughter, Mosha Jones, her precious granddaughters Kirae and Kaliyah, brothers Samuel (Shirley), James (Donna), and Isa Yusuf, sisters Juanita, and Sandwra (Glennard). LaRita was predeceased by her parents Samuel and Juanita Baynes, brother Jon Baynes and brother in law Benjamin Stallworth.

LaRita will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.
