Larry Whitted was born on February 14, 1957, in Cleveland, Ohio at Cleveland City Hospital to the late Mary F. Whitted and James B. Crowell.
In his early years, Larry grew up in Butler, AL, from a baby until adulthood. After relocating back to Cleveland, Ohio, he completed his General Equivalent Diploma (GED) and joined the Reserves. Larry was honorably discharged on September 15, 2000.
During his life’s journey, Larry spent many years working in the Culinary Arts industry as a Culinarian/Cook at several restaurants chain such as Bob Evans Restaurant chain.
Larry would discover that his destiny and true passion would be to become a Professional Dog Groomer. This happened once is met his dog, Leo. Their relationship was so special, and once he found out, he could pursue and obtain an Associate’s Degree and Certification as a Dog Groomer. Larry set out and accomplished just that. Larry had Leo certified as a service dog and would visit the Veterans at the Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The joy they brought to those they visited was so amazing. Wherever Larry was, you could always see Leo. At the time of his passing, Larry was pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in hopes of earning a Master’s Degree as well.
Larry leaves to cherish his memory, his Sister, Sherry Whitted; Brother Terrance (Mary) Whitted; Aunts, Ruby Emanuel, Mary Gaines and Yvonne Ruffin; Uncle Willie Whitted Jr.; Niece, Erica Whitted, Nephew, Jeffrey Whitted and a host of great-nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
