Lonnie's Journey
Lonnie was born on October 19, 1943, to the late Lonnie McClain Sr, and Mary Agnes McClain-Billups. He is the eldest of five; Mary McClain-Jones, Theresa McClain-Oglesby (deceased), Burl A. McClain (deceased), and Henry McClain (deceased).
He received his education in the Cleveland Public School System, in which he graduated from John Adams High School in 1962. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the US Air Force where he served for four years.
Lonnie worked for Glastic Corporation as a tow motor operator. In 1980 while working at Glastics, he met a wonderful woman, Denise Noreen Wells, and they were united in marriage on August 3rd, 1984. Denise McClain preceded him in death. Lonnie retired from Glastics after 26 years. He enjoyed traveling, going to casinos, watching a variety of his favorite sports, political news, and spending quality time with his family.
Lonnie Lee McClain Jr, was called to eternal rest April 7, 2020.
He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories: Six children: Michelle Wells, Charlena R Wells , Daryl L Wells, Donna D Wells, Ronald Wells and Donald Wells (Shirley); Five grandchildren: Denise (Torian), Donnell, Dominic, Christopher, and William III, and a host of other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and friends.
