OBITUARY FOR LOUIS GUYON
Louis Guyon was born August. 4, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Lula M and Leo Guyon, Sr. He departed this life on May 23, 2025 in Cleveland, Ohio. Louis was the 7th of 14 children. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Rose Diana Guyon, daughter April Lee, 7 bothers Henry E, Major L, Leo, Moses, Jasper, Michael, and Robert, and grandson, DeAndre’ Binns Sr.
Louis accepted Christ and was baptized in 1957. Louis married Rose Marie Lee in 1972, he married Rose Diana Binns December 20, 1980 and Ethel M. Strafford August 18, 2007. He attended Cleveland Public Schools. Louis received his HVAC certification from Tri-C Metro campus in 1973. In 1986 he received his Electronic Technician certification from Electronic Serving Institute, Cleveland, Ohio. In January 1993, he received his Electrician Certification from Great Lakes Technical Institute. He was also certified in small engine repair.
Louis owned and operated his appliance repair resale shop, Lou’s Appliance Repair Shop, for over 20 years. Louis is best described as having a multifaceted personality. He had diverse talents and adapted easily to most situations in life. He was an avid reader, his main focus was the Bible. Louis was a published author his book, From Where I Stand Before God, was published in 2006. Louis had a great sense of humor, he enjoyed spending time with family, shooting pool and playing chess. He was an adept chess enthusiast, playing chess with his brothers often resulted in a stalemate. Playing with his nephews, they never won a game, they learned to become better chess players. Louis was very talented, he enjoyed learning new ideas and concepts. He was a skilled carpenter, a skill he learned from his father.
We will all miss his presence, his wisdom, laughter and that deep resounding baritone voice when singing or speaking. He will be forever remembered and loved.
He leaves to mourn his passing: 1 son Hasan H. Guyon (Rochelle); 3 daughters ReNita L. Stingers, Tahira H. Guyon, and Yvette M. Scales (Curtis). 3 sisters Lula M. Lewis (Jesse), Jean Johnson, and Darnice Guyon. 3 brothers Albert, Willie, and Melvin Guyon.15 Grandchildren: Keith Stiggers ll, Denise Z Guyon, Jibriel Guyon, Amina Guyon, Kimi Boone, Zamir Boone, Nahla Boone, Julian Binns, Renita Binns, Sabrina Lee, Richard Lee, Damon Lee, Diamond Lee, Daija Lee, Yasmine Lee. 12 Great-Grandchildren: Nani A. Guyon Ramos, Zeus Lee, Yagoob Mattice, Abdur Mattice, Kahdijah Mattice, Uthman Mattice, Kayla Binns, Alanya M Binns, DeAndre R. Binns ll, Javon Binns, Julian Binns ll, and Mesiah Binns and a host of other relatives and many many friends.
