Her Story
Mariah Nazare’e Green, lovingly known as Mariah, age 34, of Shaker Heights, Ohio, was born on December 05, 1991, in Mount Vernon, New York, and entered eternal rest on May 13, 2026, from natural causes. She was a cherished daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, godmother, friend, and beloved servant of God whose life reflected kindness, humility, and a heart devoted to others.
Mariah was raised with love by her family and was blessed to be surrounded by people who cherished her deeply. She leaves to treasure her memory her mother, Yesenia Pino, and her father, Maurice Green, along with Joseph Wade and Tanya Worrell Green. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandmother, Maria Pino, grandfather, Jose Pino (Daisy Pino) and by the memory of her deceased grandmother, Maxine Green. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Ronald Alston, Jo Felder, James Howard, and by her brother, Demetrius Briggs. Mariah’s life was enriched by the love of her siblings, including Devan Green (Dior Green), Jasiara Wade, Jesenia Wade, Janay Green, Joleeta Wade, Jovonna Wade, Marshon Wade, Devonne Wade and Jovonte Wade. She also held a special place in the heart of her best friend, Krystal Deleon, her goddaughter, Kior Deleon, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will forever carry her memory with love.
Mariah attended Cleveland Public Schools and continued her education at John F. Kennedy High School through her junior year before graduating from Cleveland Christian Academy in 2010. Her educational journey reflected her determination and perseverance, and it laid a foundation for the compassionate path she would follow in life. She was a woman who believed in growth, purpose, and the importance of making a difference in the lives of others.
Her work life was a beautiful testimony to her caring spirit. Mariah served for several years as a home health aide, where she found great joy in caring for the elderly and offering comfort, compassion, and companionship to those she served. She later followed her passion for children and worked as a daycare teacher at Awesome Kids and My First Place, where she lovingly nurtured young hearts and minds. Mariah then answered a higher calling in her role as a Residential Treatment Specialist, dedicating herself to helping children who needed guidance and support at Bellefaire JCB and later at The Centers of Ohio until the Lord called her home. Through every position she held, Mariah served with patience, dignity, and a genuine desire to uplift others.
Mariah was a Christian whose faith was evident in the way she lived. She carried herself with a spirit of grace and a heart that trusted God through every season. She was selfless, loving, and faith-filled, and she lived as though each day was an opportunity to be a blessing. Her life was a reminder that true greatness is found in service, compassion, and a willingness to love without condition. She did not seek attention, but her presence brought comfort. She did not ask for praise, but her kindness left a lasting imprint on every life she touched.
She found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Mariah enjoyed doing lashes, shopping, listening to music, and cheering on her beloved Cleveland Cavaliers and Browns. She especially treasured time spent with family and friends, and one of her most cherished daily routines was FaceTiming her mother several times a day. That sacred bond was a beautiful reflection of the love and closeness they shared. Mariah had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and cared for, and her warm spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.
Though her earthly journey has ended, Mariah’s legacy remains alive in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely. Her life stands as a testimony that a gentle spirit, a faithful heart, and a servant’s hands can leave a mark that time cannot erase. In moments of grief, we are reminded that God’s promises remain sure, and that those who trust in Him are never forgotten. As the Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 4:7, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” Mariah finished her race with love, purpose, and grace.
Her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her to live with more compassion, love more deeply, and trust God more fully. Mariah Nazaree Green will be remembered not only for what she did, but for who she was. She was a beautiful light, a faithful soul, and a loving presence whose life blessed many. May her soul rest in perfect peace in the eternal presence of the Lord.
