OBITUARY
Maryleen Brown was born on July 25, 1937 in Bostwick, Georgia to Rosebud (Bell) Brown and Abron Brown. She was the eldest sister of 12 children. Mary was a member of Southeast Seventh Day Adventist Church where she worshipped.
Early in life she became a licensed cosmetologist and would eventually become a public servant, working for the Veterans’ Affair Administration from which she retired in 2002. One of her favorite activities was to grocery shop, as she searched for her favorite things. She read the newspaper everyday to keep up with current events. Mary loved to work on crossword puzzles and enjoyed long conversations. She created special relationships throughout her family, sharing stories and family history.
God called Mary to be in peace on May 5, 2022. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her daughter Claudia Brown; her two brothers, Samuel Brown and Michael Brown; as well her sister Tamara Brown. She leaves behind two sons, Terrell Brown and Derek Brown; three grandsons, Charles Brown, Martell Early, Jateirio Brown; a granddaughter, Darika White; a great granddaughter, Lynn Cobb; six sisters, Caroline Haynes (William), Cynthia Mills (John), Rose Burts (Cornell), Wadeoline Brown, Denise Brown and Renee Brown; two brothers, Abron Brown, Jr. and Gilbert Brown; and a host of other family
