Bryson’s Journey
With a heart full of love and a spirit stronger than the world ever expected,
Bryson Lovelle King, affectionately known as My Superman; defied every
odd placed against him. From the moment he was born on November 9,
2017, with the most important piece missing from his brain (agenesis of the
corpus callosum), Bryson showed the world what true resilience and courage
looked like. He was a fighter, a warrior, a miracle wrapped in love. His
strength carried him through countless hospital stays, and his light shone
even in the darkest nights.
Bryson was a proud second grader at Passport School, where he experienced
laughter, love, and the joy of learning. His teachers adored him, and he
brightened every classroom with his smile and personality. At school, he
worked hard to strengthen his abilities, using assistive devices to
communicate and engaging in activities that helped him grow. Though he did
not walk, that didn’t stop him; using special equipment which helped him to
stand as well as take small steps to build his strength, proved every day that
Bryson was a true fighter. His teachers and therapists worked alongside him,
encouraging him to push past his limits and embrace every victory.
Byson’s life was filled with love, joy, and unwavering determination.
Though his time here was far too short, his presence was a gift to everyone
around him. His smile could light up any room and his personality left a
lasting impression on all who knew him. He had a way of making people
happy and bringing joy wherever he went. While sweet and loving, Bryson’s
grumpy, stubborn side kept everyone on their toes, and we knew when to
leave him alone. But that smile would melt you every time! That beautiful
smile that his family and loved ones will miss dearly.
Above all, Bryson shared an unbreakable bond with his younger sister,
Brooklyn. At just six years old, she was not only his best friend but his
fiercest protector and biggest fan. They were always together; playing,
laughing, and loving on each other in a way that only siblings can. Brooklyn
was truly her brother’s keeper, and their love will forever remain unshaken.
Bryson’s impact will last a lifetime. He showed us all what it meant to fight,
to love unconditionally and without limits, and to believe in miracles. He is
deeply loved and will be forever missed by his devoted mother, Natosha
King, beloved sister, Brooklyn King, loving uncle, Eric King, grandmother
Natalie King (John Jeffery-affectionately called Papa), Grandfather Darrin
Porter, his loving family, teachers, therapists, beautiful care team members,
and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he is no longer in our
arms, he will always live in our hearts—-our Superman, our angel.
