Michael G. Minor

Michael G. Minor was born on July 10, 1966. He was the second son born to the union of Melvin Minor
Sr. (deceased) and Pearlene Minor (deceased). Michael was the third of 4 siblings.
Michael attended St. Timothy School in Garfield Heights and attended John F. Kennedy High School. In
his younger years, Michael worked at various jobs. He worked as a technician at Wright Packaging for 16
years. Mike was a hard worker all of his life, and before he became ill, he worked as a security guard
with Allied Universal Security Services for 6 years.
Michael and Renee Adams were in a long-term relationship and were engaged to be married. Michael
had one son named Darian Cockrell. Michael had 4 siblings, Melvin Minor Jr., Monica Minor, Amenia
Jennings, and Andrea Paythress (Eric Paythress). He also leaves behind his nieces Gala Copez, Kristiaun
Copez, Alexandra Minor, his nephews Donnie Walker, Antwan Jennings, and Treyvon Jennings. Michael
also leaves behind a host of other family and many friends. Michael’s family and friends meant the
world to him, and his favorite quote was “One Love!”
Michael was a huge sports fan, and watched the Browns, Cavaliers, and Ohio State often. He loved to
barbeque and have friends over. Michael was also an avid pool player and card player.
Michael gave his life to Christ later in life and joined Holy Trinity Baptist Church, under the leadership of
Pastor Chelton Flanagan. Michael was very caring and generous.
Michael became ill in September of 2021. During that time, both Renee and his Aunt Lucille cared for
him both in the hospital and at home. Michael went home to be with the Lord on November 23 rd , 2022.
Michael will be dearly missed.
