Mildred McKinney was born December 08, 1946 in Miller county of Colquitt Georgia to the late L.C. McKinney and Rossie Hayes. She was the first born of two siblings. Brother L.C. McKinney Jr. preceded her in death. She was committed to Charles J. Bell for 30 years until his death.
Mildred McKinney grew up on the East side of Cleveland Ohio and graduated from John Hay High school in June of 1967. She was a thriving mother of two; adept with a wide variety of skills in the employment force.
She worked as a Dietary Aide for Health Hill Children Hospital and Suburban Pavilion Hospital and Nurse Aide, St. Vincent Charity Hospital, Bus Driver for the Cleveland Board of Education, Environmental Service with Metro-Health Hospital, Tow Motor operator for US Steel Company Steel on the Cuyahoga River as well as a machine operator for Teledyne Republic Steel.
Mildred was best remembered as the Queen of Spade when playing cards. Aunt Clair of the Golden Girls to others, she enjoyed Cash Explosion travels, horse racing at Northfield Park, kick in it with the Golden Girls and family picnics. An audacious female celebrated over 20 years of sobriety. She leaves to mourn her departure, Telisa Yvette Johnson, Felita Bell, son-in-law Marlon Bell and the apple of her eye Supernova Santya Boo Boo Bell, Nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.
Mildred was called to eternal rest January 25, 2020. Viewing Thursday February 5, 2020 3-7 PM at Gaines Funeral Home 5386 Lee Rd. Maple Heights, Ohio 44137. Funeral service will be held Friday Feburary 6, 2020 at Gaines Funeral Home 5386 Lee Rd. Maple Heights, Ohio 44137. Family will receive friends 10:00 AM funeral service will follow at 10:30 AM
