Patricia L. Moss (73), 26,728 day of life, called to eternal rest February 11, 2020. Beloved mother of Kimberly (Gaston) Dowdley, Grandmother of Jazmine Dowdley and Gaston Dowdley Jr.

Patricia L. Moss, age 73, was born on December 8, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio to Hulitt Bolden, Jr. and Dorothy (Hardy) Anthony.

Patricia graduated from Glenville High School, Cleveland, Ohio in January of 1965.   During her lifetime, she was employed at Ohio Bell, Kaiser and Republic Steel.  After leaving Republic Steel, she was employed for many years at The Salvation Army. Prior to retiring, she was employed at a law firm as a records clerk.

Patricia loved to play games on the computer, puzzles, popcorn and Pepsi.

Her greatest love was her grandchildren.  She was a devoted grandmother who loved spending time with them which included monthly weekend sleepovers well into their high school years.  One of her favorite things to cook for them was waffles; which earned her the title of “the best waffle-maker” ever.

As excited as she was to see them, this also afforded her the opportunity to have a monthly meal with her daughter which often consisted of fried catfish, homemade coleslaw and, of course, Pepsi.

She attended as many of their activities as she could which included all day track meets for her grandson, Gaston Jr.   She once told doctors who advised her that she needed a procedure on her leg that “my granddaughter is graduating from high school,  so if need be you can cut my leg off on Monday; however, I am going to be at her graduation on Sunday”.  She pushed through many health issues to attend every milestone in their lives -- missing her very first one in December, 2019, when her grandson, Gaston, Jr. graduated from college.

Her greatest hope was that there would be lasting and endearing memories of the times they spent together for her grandchildren to cherish.

Patricia departed this life on February 11, 2020.   She was preceded in death by her father, Hulitt Bolden Jr., mother, Dorothy (Hardy) Anthony and brother Hulitt Bolden III.

Patricia is survived by her daughter Kimberly (Gaston) Dowdley, grandchildren Jazmine and Gaston Dowdley Jr.  Sisters Regina Bolden and Lynette Stone; brother Loran Anthony (Gayle); aunt Dorothy Perry; nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
