Phelola Lenora Harrison Moore

May 11, 1924- June 8, 2019

Phelola Lenora Harrison Moore known a “Lola” by friends and family.  Phelola was born May 11, 1924 in Eckman, West Virginia to the late Milton and Lucille Harrison.  She was the second of three daughters.  She accepted Jesus as her Lord and savior in early childhood.  She was a graduate of Kimball High School in the McDowell County School District. Phelola moved from West Virginia to Chicago then to Cleveland to be closer to family and friends.  Phelola married Robert Moore. She was the mother of two children, Marvin Moore and Bridget Moore.  After moving to Cleveland, she became a member of First Zion Baptist Church on Garfield Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio.

Phelola took great pride in her work, during her professional journey she was employed at the Lake Forest City Hospital and Ohio Bell.  Phelola chose Dietary- Catering as a profession.  After retiring she specialized in catering events for family and friends.  She also volunteered preparing and catering meals for senior citizens.

Phelola was preceded in death by Robert Moore (husband), Marvin C. Moore (son), Mildred Hairston (sister) and Woodrow Russell (dear friend).

Phelola leaves to cherish her memory, Bridget LaVerne Moore Landrum (daughter), Michael Anthony Landrum Jr. and Isaiah Clifton Landrum (grandsons), LaVerne DeShazo (sister) and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends…

Phelola Lenora Moore, age 95, called from labor to reward June 8, 2019. Beloved mother and grandmother. Public Viewing will be held Friday June 21, 2019 3PM - 7PM at Gaines Funeral Home 5386 Lee Road Maple Heights, OH 44137 where funeral services will be held Saturday June 22, 2019 , Wake 9AM Funeral 9:30AM.
