Phyllis Loretta (Preston) Davis

Phyllis Davis was born November 11, 1946, in Leeds, Alabama to the union of Mr. Lem Preston, Sr. and Mildred Preston, who preceded her in death. Phyllis was the third of eight children. She confessed with her mouth the Lord Jesus and was Baptized at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Leeds, AL.

Phyllis graduated from East Technical High School in Cleveland, Ohio. Phyllis worked as a Waitress, Housekeeper, Cashier, and Activity Director at Whitecliff Manor Nursing. She retired in 2011 and moved to Columbus, Ohio.

Phyllis married Rev. Albert Davis, Sr. on June 19, 1971. To this marriage one son, Albert Davis, Jr., and daughter, Barbara Davis was born. Previous to this marriage, daughter Sharonda T. Preston and son Alfred O’Dale Preston was born.

Her parents, brothers, Dwight Preston, Raymond Preston, Lem Preston, Jr., and Grandchildren, Alfred O’Dale Preston, II, Phyllis Preston, II, Lonnie David Linder proceeded her in death.

Phyllis leaves to cherish her memory: Sister’s Geneva Thompson, Audrey Johnson, Kathy Preston, Laquetta Odom (Charles) daughter’s Sharonda T. Preston, Barbara Davis, sons, Alfred O’Dale Preston (Emily), Albert Davis, Jr. (Iyvette), 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
