Ronald "Rico” Knightner

Ronald Walter Knightner, affectionately known as “Rico”, was born on May 12, 1986 to Mr. Tyler Cayson and Miss Simone Knightner. He departed this life on Saturday, May 15, 2021. 

At 5 years of age, Rico met Robin Floyd who became not only his step-father but his “DAD”. Rico was educated in Cleveland Public School System, he graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 2004. He attended Cuyahoga Community College and completed culinary arts program. He worked many jobs, but the two jobs that he loved the most was Park Ohio Products and his last place of employment, Integrity Energy. 

Everyone and anyone who knew “Rico” was aware that he loved Monica Denise Arnold, known by her stage name “MONICA”. He was and always will be her NUMBER 1 FAN. 

Rico was a loving and selfless soul who was always doing for others. He took pride in his ability to clean a house spic and span, but spent most of his free time cooking and showing off his culinary expertise, all while letting you know that he had a secret ingredient, his “Granny’s Seasoning Salt”. 

Rico leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother; Simone Knightner, Father; Tyler Cayson; Dad; Robin Floyd. His Brother; Marcus Berry. His sister; Ja’Nae Floyd. His twin brothers: Mau’Rese and Ty’Rese Floyd. His Grandparents: Ronald and Wynonna Knightner and Jessie Cayson (Deceased) and Ruth Cayson. One niece; Gianni Simone Floyd. He also leaves a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and so many other family members and friends. He also leaves 3 EXTRA SPECIAL friends to cherish his memory: Lourissa, Joevonte, and Eric. He also leaves his “Papa” Reese Floyd, and last... but certainly not least, his “Granny” Viola Floyd. 

Due to the current covid19 pandemic, there is a (50) person limit for attendees at the funeral home.
