Ronnie Pierce Jr. Obituary

Ronnie Pierce Jr., was born on May 27, 1989 in Cleveland, Ohio to his parents Lamoni Campbell and Ronnie Pierce Sr. When Ronnie was a baby he had the biggest "Bright Eyes". He was always cooing and making loud noises, this is when we knew he was going to be an entertainer of some sort. When Ronnie was 3 years old, he would get invited to different churches, so he could sing at their prayer breakfasts and other special events. As a child and as an adult Ronnie loved watching cartoons over a bowl of cereal just like his Uncle Rickey. Ronnie was 4 years old when he attended Lexington Bell Childcare Center, where he was honored to be the preschool salutatorian.

By the age of 5, Ronnie was marching and playing the Tom Tom Drums for Lady D's Drill Team here in Cleveland, Ohio. Ronnie didn’t stop there, throughout the years, he was involved in many different musical organizations such as the Cleveland Choral Chapter Choir, and The Singing Angels to name a few.

Ronnie attended Captain Arthur Roth Elementary School, Shaker Middle School, After Middle School, to obtain a wider range of education attended John F. Kennedy High School, Warrensville Heights High School. Upon moving and settling in the city of Bedford Heights, Ronnie completed his senior year and graduated as a Bedford Bearcat. Before graduating, he and his prom date won "Best Dressed Couple" in 2007 at his senior prom.

He also had a love for marching. Every time you saw him, he either had his trumpet or that flag. Ronnie would march from the front to the back of the yard. Which he did from High School and through-out his college career.

After high School, in the Fall of 2007 Ronnie began to further his education by enrolling in classes at Central State University. While attending school, he worked in the admissions department where he assisted 8 of his close classmates, friends, and other students with their enrollment. With his help, they were able to attend classes that following fall semester. Once he was reunited with his classmates and friends, that’s when he said all his "Fun" began.

While at Central State University he was an active participant in the band as well as the Central State Chorus. His love for Fine Arts led him to one of his many achievements, becoming a member of Tau Rho Beta Society Incorporated. He was a dedicated and passionate member. Which also lead him to his national treasurer roll for TPB. After many years of dedication and faithful love for Central State University, Ronnie then transferred to Livingston College where he started a chapter for Tau Rho Beta Society Incorporated.

After leaving his mark at Livingston College, Ronnie then relocated back to Cleveland, Ohio where he continued his love for music by participating in the All City Choir with performances year round, and “WE CANT " forget his favorite performance at The Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration at Severance Hall.

Ronnie was an avid traveler and resided in Arizona, California, North Carolina and Utah.

Continuing his love for "The Arts”, he also dabbled in dance, Theatre, cooking, and baking but he was also widely known for his comedic personality. With Halloween being his favorite holiday, he never ceases to amaze us with his famous costume get ups. No matter the situation, Ronnie would literally be the light in any room he entered.

Ronnie was employed at The Red Robin Restaurant, Johnny Rocket (Cedar Point), He was also a host at many exclusive fine dining establishments, as well as hotels throughout Cleveland. Following that he drove many days from Cleveland to California where he Catered food for Fire Fighters extinguishing the wildfires in California.  Then he started working at The Cleveland Stadium (travelling state to state for games) as well as The Cleveland Clinic Hospital working as a Traffic Controller. His greatest accomplishment was becoming an entrepreneur where he established his own business called " Oh My Dear Treats" as a tribute to his late great-grandmother Constance Jones affectionately known as "Dear" .

Ronnie was given, many nicknames throughout his life, such as: "Ron-Ron", “Ron John Pierce", “Pasha”, “Poon”, “Flag Daddy”, and “Stunt Man.

Ronnie always put others first, a quality that gained him his many loyal friends. Ronnie was caring, dignified and strong.

We commend Ronnie for his courageous spirit during his battle. He never complained; his endurance should be a testimony to us all. God called Ronnie home to begin his new journey on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 where he will be at peace.

Preceding him in death were his Great-Grandparents, Grandparents, several Aunts and Uncles, and his cousins: Arielle La'Chea Swopes and Davone Wright.

Ronnie leaves to cherish his memory: a devoted mother, Lamoni Campbell; Father, Ronnie Pierce Sr.; sisters, LaToya Benjamin, Desarae Green, Ashley Green-Edwards (Brian); nieces, Zhiye’ Coleman, Nikya Kerr, Nikayla Kerr; nephew, Nik’O Kennedy and a host of loving; aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends as well as all his extended family of Tau Rho Beta Society Inc.
