She Earned Her Wings November 13, 2019
Sandra Louise Hill, age 71 of Cleveland, peacefully departed this life on Wednesday,
November 13, 2019 surrounded by her loved ones after a long and well fought battle. She
was born on June 10, 1948 in Tallapoosa, Georgia to Charles & Ruby Hill. She was the
third of six children. She accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Newly Baptist Church in
Tallapoosa, Georgia. She moved to Cleveland, OH at an early age and attended Cleveland
Public Schools.
Louise was a loving mother and grandmother who always provided a firm and helping
hand in every aspect of their lives. She truly loved all of her family and her spirit of
devotion to her family and friends goes all the way back to her youth. She was so proud of
her grandchildren and their accomplishments. Her grandson who is her favorite sailor,
just completed his first tour of duty in the Middle East on November 5
th
serving our
country. Her granddaughter who has been an honor roll student throughout her entire
schooling and simply a genius. She constantly told her daughter that she “was a good
daughter” which was her way of saying thank you for taking care of me these past twelve
months. Her favorite hobbies were Bingo, Line Dancing, and The Jack Casino. She was
proceeded in death by her father, brothers: Daniel and Robert, and brother-in-law:
Alexander.
Her walk with God continues, we grieve, yet we celebrate the magnificent legacy love she
left to us. She is loved by many and her memories cherished by her Mother: Ruby Rose;
Stepfather: Elton Rose; Daughter: Iyecha Hill; Grandson: Marcellus Embry, Jr.;
Granddaughter: Madisyn Drake; Brothers: Dennis[(Khabir)(Malika)] and Anthony; Sisters:
Sonya, Sheila(Jerome), Sheryl, Thelma, and Jackie; Nephews: Ricardo, Jomo, Rasheed,
Jamil(Kalia), Daniel, Ambreese, Danwon, Muharram, and Idris; Neices: Sakina, Sharonne,
Ayana(Anthony), Akilah(Anthony), Tanicqua, Fatimah, Naimah and a host of other
relatives and friend
