Tammy Frances Carter was born January 13, 1964 in Cleveland, Ohio to Barbara and Clarence. She was the second daughter, the second oldest and the boss of six siblings.
Tammy graduated from Shaw High School in June of 1982. She worked in medical billing for over 30 years, from University Hospital to Cleveland Clinic and many other places in between. She worked at CDC in Shaker Hts. For over 10 years until her passing. In addition to medical billing, Tammy was a self-taught Tax Preparer. She gave HR Block a run for their money. She was a faithful member of Elizabeth Baptist Church in Cleveland.
Tammy had four great loves during her life.
The first was Ron Atwater and to this union her first son was born, Westley Isiah.
Her second great love was James Lawson and to this union her second son, Joseph Santel was born.
Tammy's third great love was Lee "Jessie" Hogue. They were united in marriage on September 15, 2015 and to this union her third son, Daniel Lee Hogue was born. Tammy loved her tall, handsome boys and affectionately referred to them as "my three sons". She took great pride in providing for (spoiling) them.
Tammy's fourth love was gambling. From the ponies to dogs, to bingo, to Ohio lottery, to the casinos, Tammy played it all! And she was often quite lucky.
She also enjoyed cooking huge meals for her family and close friends. Tammy was very friendly, funny, and outgoing. If you wanted to know something about someone or anything, just ask her. If she didn't know the answer, it wouldn't take her long to find out. She was strong, confident, and compassionate. Tammy was well liked and loved by many. Even in her death she continues to give. She will be greatly missed.
Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, her sister and best friend, Tracey and her loving husband, Jessie.
She leaves to continue her legacy, her three sons, Westley, Joseph, and Daniel; her grandchildren Skyla, Naomi, Giovanni, Joseph Jr., and Josiah; her brothers Kevin (Sandy), Ken, and Eric; her sister Vicky (Ed); her nieces Kamille, Kelly, Carey, Kenique, Manae, Anjelynne, and Edd'lynne; her nephews Christopher, Rafael (Sieta), Delvon (Erika), and Dillon; and a host of cousins, sister-girlfriends, and other relatives and friends.
